We adopt a comprehensive approach to teaching at Writers Studio, beginning by instilling a genuine love for learning and encouraging creativity in each child.
Our heart-based education philosophy prioritises social and emotional development alongside academic progress, creating a warm, supportive, and safe environment where our students can flourish.
Our experienced teachers utilise detailed teaching techniques such as review, revise, and rectify to help our students master English. Every lower primary student receives personalised attention in a small group with their individual strengths and weaknesses identified and addressed during each lesson. Students are incentivised, with weaker ones monitored more closely to ensure steady progress.
Yenny
Mother of Valerie, Punggol Primary School
My younger girl has been attending lessons at Writers Studio to prepare for her compositions in Primary 3. We started 6 months ago. She loved it the moment she met her teacher. We attended a trial lesson and stayed on. Her teacher has been attentive and patient, as she had a weaker foundation back then. Now, I am signing up my elder girl to boost her PSLE results next year. I can see steady progress in my girl’s creative writing.
Nessie
Mother of Kyra, Methodist Girls’ School
My girl loves reading. I like it that the centre emphasises reading comprehension and explains fundamental reading techniques. It is helpful as my daughter can not only perform better in her reading comprehension at school, but also keen to borrow harder storybooks. The writing programme is also in depth, and not just teaching ordinary writing skills. The centre teacher is qualified to teach writing and it is not easy to find teachers who really understand the mechanics of writing. The materials are harder and more relevant for building English writing skills.
Mrs Seah
Mother of Charlize, Raffles Girls’ Primary School
Thanks for building a strong foundation for Charlize. It’s great that we have a strong partnership all these years. She has a top aggregate in her cohort, English is yet again her strongest subject. The school is very supportive of her progress and the teacher is helpful in providing feedback. Thank you for inculcating resilience and independence in my girl.
