FLASH FICTION FINAL COMPETITION 2023

We are happy to announce that the Flash Fiction Competition at Writers Studio have been a glowing success, with over a hundred entries pouring in!

During the qualifiers, students stepped up and streamed into Writers Studio’s Galaxy Library, ready to take the challenge. Many struggled with writing prompts far different from what they are used to in class. Behind the scenes, our panel of judges invested hours of consideration as they pored over the myriad of narratives.

And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for has arrived! We are thrilled to unveil the list of our WINNERS in each category. Let the excitement mount as we prepare to meet our winners in the prize-giving ceremony in August where they will receive cash prizes and certificates to boost their personal portfolio. Teacher Edmund nominated me to participate in the event. I enjoy writing, and the prompts presented were so different from what I have been used to. After thinking for a while, I managed to create an intriguing plot that I am proud of. I enjoyed the event immensely because it provided a wonderful platform to improve our English skills.

When I first heard about the competition from Teacher Karen, it immediately caught my attention and I decided to give it a try. Little did I know that the prompts were beyond my expectations, and they challenged me to push my creativity to new heights. After completing my story, I felt accomplished. It was a very rewarding experience indeed.
