Enhance PSLE Prep with Our March Holiday Programme 2025!

With the new 2025 PSLE Writing and Oral syllabus, our March Holiday Programme 2025 is designed to equip students with the latest exam strategies and skills.

Writers Studio’s March Holiday Course will be held from 17 to 21 March, covering:

📌 Composition and Situational Writing (17 to 19 March) – Focused training to address your child’s writing weaknesses and accelerate progress.

📌 Oral Training (20 to 21 March) – A new addition designed to strengthen spoken fluency, articulation and confidence, essential for PSLE Oral Exams 2025. This is based on the new syllabus. Both conversation and reading are covered.

As PSLE exam topics evolve, mastering plot development and oral techniques will give students a strong advantage. Led only by senior and master teachers from Writers Studio School of English.

Why Choose Our Programme?

Prepare for PSLE Exams Early
If you have not caught the news that there is a new writing syllabus and an increased weightage in PSLE Oral 2025, we are here to help. Our course has been written specially to address the change in expectations at the PSLE Exams.

Leveraging on Our Experience, Our Insights – For Precision Training
Drawing from our extensive experience and insights, we provide targeted training to address your child’s areas of weakness in composition writing. Our goal is to help them achieve excellence in this critical skill. Assessing a PSLE student’s creative writing demands experience. At Primary 5, such expectations have significantly risen too. As a parent, you will want to seek guidance on identifying and addressing your child’s critical weaknesses.

Advanced Assessment ahead of the Writing Exams
Even if your child has not yet taken formal creative writing exams, our experienced teachers will assess their writing abilities rigorously, providing valuable insights into their potential performance. Prior to the start of the programme, your child will receive a diagnosis of their current creative writing issues. Using our in-house rubric designed for the latest PSLE expectations, our teachers will help identify language gaps and teach your child how to improve in their creative writing.

Your child will be learning to write 1 composition topic each day. These lessons will cater to the school’s weighted assessment standards. Grading and detailed marking will be provided, pitched at MOE standards.

Students who sign up for a full package will receive creative vocabulary cards at the end of the programme –  a colourful reward that can be kept as a future reference for your little wordsmiths!

Situational Writing
Our Situational Writing Programme for the March holidays is designed to help students master the art of writing in real-world contexts. Through engaging and interactive lesson segments, students will be exposed to various situational writing scenarios, such as writing informal and formal emails, reports and notices, tailored to meet different audiences and purposes. The programme emphasises the importance of clear, concise communication, while also building critical thinking skills to understand and respond appropriately to specific situations. With practical exercises, constructive feedback, and focused instruction, students will not only improve their writing techniques but also gain confidence in tackling situational writing tasks in exams.

Oral Training
In this programme, oral communication skills will be developed through interactive and engaging activities, ensuring your child feels confident and supported every step of the way. Your child will learn to think on their feet, adapt quickly, and use their own strengths to handle a variety of conversation scenarios. Key areas of focus include effective presentation techniques, analysing questions strategically, and crafting clear, thoughtful responses.

Additionally, we will incorporate reading aloud to help your child meet the new MOE reading expectations for 2025, giving them the tools to approach this component with ease.

Our holiday programme boasts a high success rate and satisfaction score among repeat customers. Parents trust us to deliver results, thanks to our meticulous approach to teaching and commitment to excellence. “My favourite story is Father Christmas. We get to act out a skit before we started analysing the characters. During that lesson, I learnt to write something meaningful. Best of all, I could get a lollipop as a reward. This is my third holiday course at Writers Studio.”

“I like to write but I needed to put on a bigger thinking cap. I learnt to make some bends in my story plot. I learnt new ways to write about the characters and what they do in their stories. I could pick up new vocabulary because at every paragraph, we are taught new phrases.”

“I enjoy the lessons taught during the Creative Writing Camp. There were so many interesting activities. I remember that we had to wear a face mask with a big nose and act out a character. It makes me think about what the character will say and do in my story. I learn to create new characters in my stories.”
