Language Paper 1: Creative Writing

Writing exam topics vary from year to year, and a good understanding of plot manipulation can significantly improve the student’s performance. Our focus on relevant writing genres ensures no time is wasted and the materials are focused on delivering progress. Each day, your P6 child will craft compositions during our lessons, applying new creative phrases and techniques to improve their performance. We have been nailing the PSLE topics with a 95% accuracy since 2012. These lessons align with MOE’s assessment standards, with detailed marking included.

Situational Writing

Our Situational Writing Programme for the March holidays is designed to help students master the art of writing in real-world contexts. Through engaging and interactive lesson segments, students will be exposed to various situational writing scenarios, such as writing informal and formal emails, reports and notices, tailored to meet different audiences and purposes. The programme emphasises the importance of clear, concise communication, while also building critical thinking skills to understand and respond appropriately to specific situations. With practical exercises, constructive feedback, and focused instruction, students will not only improve their writing techniques but also gain confidence in tackling situational writing tasks in exams.

Language Paper 4: Mastering Oral Excellence
Written by former MOE oral examiners, our programme boosts students’ confidence for oral exams and prepares them for the new 2025 syllabus. With tailored solutions and ample practice, we address each child’s unique gaps for success in the 2025 year-end exams.

Our strategies, refined over 12 years, have helped thousands of students. Small group sizes enable personalised feedback, while practices based on MOE-predicted questions encourage critical thinking and creative responses. Every student is given the chance to present and be evaluated with constructive and encouraging feedback. You will receive an update on your child’s progress for each lesson, so that you will know which gaps to address at home.

Writers Studio focuses on unique in-house techniques that are highly adaptable and effective at helping students score more easily in school. Students learn to organise their answers with persuasive devices and signposting techniques, ensuring coherence and stronger delivery. Our teachers monitor every detail to address oral presentation issues and optimise your child’s performance at the PSLE.

Don’t miss this chance to refine your skills and boost your PSLE performance! 🚀

“My favourite story is Father Christmas. We get to act out a skit before we started analysing the characters. During that lesson, I learnt to write something meaningful. Best of all, I could get a lollipop as a reward. This is my third holiday course at Writers Studio.”

“I like to write but I needed to put on a bigger thinking cap. I learnt to make some bends in my story plot. I learnt new ways to write about the characters and what they do in their stories. I could pick up new vocabulary because at every paragraph, we are taught new phrases.”

“I enjoy the lessons taught during the Creative Writing Camp. There were so many interesting activities. I remember that we had to wear a face mask with a big nose and act out a character. It makes me think about what the character will say and do in my story. I learn to create new characters in my stories.”
